Recipe For Making Granola Bars At Home

By making our own granola bars at home, we can combine different ingredients to our taste, and make sure they are all healthy .

We all have this image of the cereal bar associated with healthy eating and good health! You have surely heard that famous phrase that says “Energy bars help us recharge our batteries” .

But what many people don’t know is that granola bars are industrial products.

They are sold in supermarkets, they are generally saturated with aromas, sugar and other additives not really beneficial for our health …

Thus, it is better to prepare them in an artisanal way! We will therefore ensure that these products are healthy ingredients. And if these bars are organic, even better!

Crispy oat bars

Ingredients:

  • Pieces of oats – 1 cup
  • Grated coconut – 2 teaspoons
  • Raisins – 1 tbsp
  • Roasted peanuts – 1 tbsp
  • Honey – 2 tbsp
  • 1 tangerine zest
  • Anise seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Sesame oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Sea salt – 1 pinch

Preparing cereal bars

Heat the sesame oil in a pan over low heat.

Add the oats, cinnamon and coconut. Then mix gently for about 15 minutes, until the ingredients have absorbed all the oil.

We then observe that they are golden and crispy.

Add the raisins, peanuts, anise and salt. Stir for a few minutes. The ideal is to do this with a wooden spoon.

Then add the honey and tangerine zest, and you can then turn off the heat.

Then continue to stir to melt all the ingredients with the honey: they should mix perfectly. Then you can pour this mixture into a bowl or a saucepan.

Press down on it to make it very compact. Then place it in the refrigerator and let it rest until the mixture cools and hardens. You can then cut your bars, choosing the desired shape and size.

Remember to let the preparation cool down, however long it takes. Otherwise, when you cut the bars, they will break into small pieces.
