What do you need ?

We are going to make two small sachets of oats for the shower. For this we will need the following:

  • 2 cups of oats
  • Two small canvas bags. They should be chiffon, gauze or organza. Sometimes these little canvas bags are offered in the gifts we receive, we can use them. It is important that they have a cord so that they can be tied.
  • Half a grated soap. The one we like the most. We can use an oatmeal one as well, but we recommend the rosehip soap. It can be found in organic stores or perfume shops. Only a half.
  • Essential oil. The one we like the most. We also use that of rosehip.

  • It is very simple, you will see. The first thing to do is to choose the small canvas bags. They should be of medium size, and fit in the palm of the hand. Consider that you are going to use it as a soap for your skin, so the size must be adapted. They should also be able to hold a cup of oats.
  • Once the bags have been chosen, get a bowl or a salad bowl. What to do with it? Well, make the therapeutic mixture that will go in the small sachets. Pour in two cups of oats, then grate the half soap. Use a grater and drop the little bits onto the oats.
  • Then, pour 10 drops of essential oil over the mixture. Choose the one you like the most, but for the smell to be more or less balanced, make sure it is evenly distributed. At this point, you should also add some dry herbs, such as lavender, orange leaves or rosemary. You can add whatever you like, as long as they are herbs with good therapeutic effects for the skin.
  • It’s almost ready. Now all you have to do is divide the contents and fill the sachets with oats. Tie the small cord securely. Remember that after each use, it is necessary to put them in a place where between the sun and the air so that they dry properly. Of course, their use is limited. When you find that the soap barely smells or that the oats have almost turned into flour, it’s time to make new little sachets. You will see how your skin will shine!
