To start, we offer you this original recipe for roasted potatoes with peas and cheddar cheese. Treat yourself !

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • ½ can of peas (63 g)
  • Vegetable oil (preferably olive)
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese (300 g)
  • Condiments: salt, parsley
  • Optional: 1 small onion (30 g)

Preparation

  • Peel and wash the potatoes. Then cut them into strips.
  • Bake the potatoes in the oven at 180 ° C for about 25 or 30 minutes.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat, lightly greased with a little olive oil.
  • Separately, cut the onion into small pieces (as thin as possible). Once you have finely chopped it, place it in the pan for a few minutes until it is golden brown. You must constantly stir to prevent it from burning. Once ready, turn off the heat and set aside the cooked onion.
  • Then, open a can of peas and pour in only half. Drain the liquid and pour the peas into a bowl.
  • Finally, chop the cheddar cheese into small pieces and place in the microwave (low) for 15 seconds. You can also grate the cheese, if that’s easier for you. If the 15 seconds are not enough, reintroduce the cheese for another 10 seconds (try not to leave the cheese in the microwave for too long, so as not to completely remove all the moisture it contains).
  • Remove the potatoes from the oven and immediately pour the cheddar cheese, peas and onion pieces over them. Then sprinkle a pinch of parsley on top and that’s it!
